Academic Advising
Lower Division Undergraduate Advising
Freshman, sophomores, transfer students and other students not yet admitted to the department should begin by contacting the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science (MCECS) and making an appointment with an advisor. Upper Division Undergraduate Advising
Upon admission to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering a faculty advisor is assigned to each student based on area of expressed interest. This assignment is included in the letter of acceptance to the student.
Office hours for faculty are posted outside their offices and in the department. Students should see their advisors during office hours or contact them directly to make other arrangements.
All students must meet with their advisor during the first term of admission to the program and as often as needed to ensure that program criteria is being met.
Graduate Advising
Upon admission to the program, graduate students are assigned an advisor in their acceptance letter depending on their area of specialization. Students should be in close contact with their advisor throughout the program.
